MISS HAWAII’S MARCH 2019 RECAP!

This post was submitted by Penelope Emily Domaloan Ng Pack, Miss Hawaii 2018 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through childrensmiraclenetworkhospitals.org/guest-post

Aloha CMN Hospitals Ohana,

As I write this blog post, I’ve already passed the 3-month mark until Miss Hawaii 2019. That’s right — on June 15th, 2019 I will crown the next Miss Hawaii and my year of service will come to a close.

While it saddens me to be moving on from my dream job so soon, I’ve barely had time to think about it because March was such a busy month!

Reflecting on March 2019, I’m sharing some of my favorite Miss Hawaii x CMN moments in photos:

IHOP Pancake Day

My teen, Sophia, and I visited IHOP locations across Hawaii to fundraise for our CMN: Kapiolani Medical Center!

Children’s Hospitals Week

The Miss Hawaii Class of 2019 and I took part in the national weeklong fundraising campaign for #ChildrensHospitalsWeek.

Miss Hawaii Scholarship Golf Tournament

The 23rd Annual Miss Hawaii Scholarship Golf Tournament was a success at Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course! Mahalo to all of the golfers and our generous sponsors who make our scholarship program possible.

Casino Night for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals

Hosted by Miss Chinese Jaycees 2019 Danicia Honda to benefit Kapiolani Medical Center.

Some other highlights of my March 2019 were:

American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure

St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Waikiki

Maui D.A.R.E. Day

FIRST Robotics Tournament

You can see all of these highlights on my instagram @MissAmericaHI and @MissHawaiiOrg.

Check back next month for all of April’s activities!

With aloha,

Penelope
