Miss Hawaii’s April 2019 Recap

Aloha CMN Ohana,

It’s time to look back on my April adventures!

I started with an awesome reading visit to Kahala Elementary’s 1st grade!

I got to sing the National Anthem and Hawaii Ponoi at the UH Men’s Volleyball Team Senior Night to the first sold-out crowd the Stan Sheriff Arena has seen in over 20 years. (Such chills hearing 10,000 fans sing along to Hawaii Ponoi with me.)

During National Library Week, I announced my partnership with the Friends of the Library of Hawaii by posting a sneak peek of my READ poster!

The annual Miss Hawaii’s Princess Program for girls ages 5-12 was a success thanks to the leadership of forever Miss Hawaiis Billie Lueder, Candes Gentry, Jennifer Pimentel, and Kehau Takenishi.

I shared my platform Page by Page: Helping Kids Read to Succeed with the girls and read Princesses Wear Pants as part of our activity!

We said mahalo to our Miss Hawaii’s Outstanding Teen 2018 Sophia Stark…

And welcomed our 2019 Miss Hawaii’s Outstanding Teen to the Miss Hawaii Ohana: Makaila Natividad!

I was so honored to give the invocation for the Hawaii House of Representatives on April 30th.

May is my last full month as Miss Hawaii 2018 and I plan to fill it with service and aloha before saying farewell to the crown. Thank you for your support throughout my year of service…
