Extra Lifer’s, meet Ava, one of our 2025 national champion children!

Aloha friends,

I’m thrilled to introduce you to Ava, one of our national champion children for Extra Life and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in 2025!

Since you’re one of our very first Extra Lifers of the year, I’m thrilled to offer an extra special treat. Meet Ava, one of our national champion children for Extra Life and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in 2025!

Ava was born with trouble seeing clearly. Her worried parents took her to a member hospital of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Thanks to special equipment made possible by donations, doctors discovered Ava had a rare condition called albinism.

Albinism meant Ava’s vision would always be a bit blurry, and she’d need to be extra careful in the sun. But that didn’t stop her. The amazing doctors and tools at the member hospital helped her eyesight improve dramatically! Every checkup felt like a celebration, marking how far she’d come. As Ava’s health improved, so did her confidence. She learned to love her unique features and even became a voice for other kids with albinism.

Every dollar you raise, friend you recruit and game you play makes a tangible difference for kids like Ava who need us right here in Hawai‘i. Stay tuned for more information about what you can expect from this year’s Extra Life, including dates and incentives, soon!

Mahalo again for helping us change kids’ health to change the future.
