Kapiolani’s newest “student” arrives.

Meet Kapiolani’s newest “student” named VGo. Your donations are allowing this new robot to help Kapiolani patients be active participants in school! Gifts to the Kapiolani Radiothon for Kids helped the medical center purchase this innovative technology to promote education for the Child Life program. Soon patients who can’t leave their room will be able to “attend” Brain Station, a program which allows students to keep up with their schoolwork while hospitalized. With the VGo representing them during class, patients can, hear, talk, raise their hand and move around by remote control from their room. This robot substitute will allow hospitalized students to socialize and be active participants in their learning. To make a gift or learn more about Kapiolani, visit Give2Kapiolani.org.
