#1 Fundraising Walmart Sits on an Island in the Little Town of Hilo.

The amazing staff and customers of Walmart Hilo have been a leading fundraisers for Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children. As a national partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Walmart locations are currently raising funds across North America. Walmart Hilo has set an example on how to raise funds and truly celebrate our keiki. When times were challenged last year due to COVID 19 restrictions, they thought of creative ways to fundraise by creating masks to sell, offering prewrapped treats for sale and even creating a CMN Champion parade that would ride through the store and collect donations, with our Champion, Haumea leading the parade. Their managers field calls from all across the country asking for their secrets and they are always so generous with their idea sharing.  They may be most known for their handmade gong that customers can hit when they make a donation in the self checkout area!
